1. Who we are
Tissue is a free toilet-finding app operated by Jamie Wain (“we”, “us”, “our”). Our website is gettissue.co.uk. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@gettissue.co.uk.

2. What data we collect
We collect the following data when you use Tissue:

Email address — collected when you create an account.
Location — your approximate location is used to find nearby toilets and, if you opt in to notifications, to determine whether a newly submitted toilet is close to you. We do not store a continuous location history.
Push notification token — if you enable notifications, we store a device token alongside your last known location so we can notify you about nearby toilet submissions.
Toilet submissions — if you submit a toilet, we store the details you provide (location, name, attributes) along with your user ID.
Ratings and verifications — if you rate or verify a toilet, we store that rating linked to your user ID.
3. How we use your data
We use your data only to operate the app:

To authenticate your account.
To show you nearby toilets based on your location.
To send you push notifications about toilets submitted near you (only if you have enabled notifications).
To display community ratings and verifications.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), hosted in the EU. Push notification tokens are delivered via Expo’s push notification service (expo.dev). We retain account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

5. Third-party services
Supabase — authentication and database (supabase.com/privacy).
Expo — build infrastructure and push notifications (expo.dev/privacy).
OpenStreetMap / Overpass API — toilet location data (openstreetmap.org/copyright). We do not share your personal data with OpenStreetMap.
Apple Maps — directions (opened externally when you tap “Take me there”). Apple’s privacy policy applies once you leave the app.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@gettissue.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children
Tissue is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. The current version is always available at gettissue.co.uk/privacy.
